The India Club Tennis Academy since it’s Inception has been a Huge success and A Symbol of Pride of our Club.

The Academy was launched in the year 2002 under the excellent supervision of Mr Rajnish Goswami ( ITF Level 2) who acted as the Head Coach and was ably assisted by Gaurav Choudhary and Premchand Kathar. They all did a wonderful job of shaping the Future course of the Academy and grooming of the young players. After the initial years Rishiraj Das took over the charge of being the Head Coach of the academy for few years and later the Role was played by Late Ranjit Dutta( Former State No.1and a Top National Ranked player). Both of them did a Splendid job of producing players like Ronit Bora, Rounak Bora, Marisha Dutta and Sanghmitra Thakur who all won State Level Tournaments. Ronit and Marisha won multiple State Championships and we’re Ranked No. 1 in their respective age categories and brought immense Laurels to the Club.

Since the year 2012 to the present Date the Academy is been looked after by Mr Priyanuz Dutta Lahkar ( Former State No.1, Top National Ranked Player and ITF Level 1 Coach) with the help of Mr. Momin Ali and Mr Hiren Baruah. Bora, Ishika Chakma, Kaushik Bora, Hrishikesh Bhuyan, Tanshiqa Patar, Sidhant Deka, Varun Aditya Kalita, Meghna Bharadwaj and Kalpita Rajkowa. They all have won State Level Tournaments. Of the lot Anchit Gogoi, Arunesh Bora, Ved Aditya Kalita, Ishika Chakma and Tanishqa Patar did exceptionally well and were all Ranked No 1 in their various age groups in the State and also did well at the National Level.

Currently Roshini Bhardawaj and Ayan Bhuyan have been winning state ranking Tournaments and performing very well. All these players are a matter of Pride for the Club. The current strength of the Academy is around 50 players of which around 10 are Tournament players, another 10 are playing in the Intermediate Group and the rest are in Beginners Group( who are mostly Under 10 year olds).

The Tennis Academy was renamed as Pulin Das India Club Tennis Academy in the year 2016 as a mark of Respect to Late Mr Pulin Das for his immense immense contribution towards the game of Tennis.
